What is Pad Printing?

Pad printing is a unique process used to print flat and irregular surfaces. In Pad Printing ink is used to flood an engraved plate, which is doctored to remove excess ink from the top surface of the plate, it is physically transferred by contact to a compressible silicone pad, which then deposits the ink onto to a substrate. Because such wide ranges of inks are available, a very broad range of materials can be printed using this process. The flexibility of the silicone rubber pads allows you to print on uneven and awkward shaped parts. As the ink is quick drying, high quality multicolor designs can easily be achieved.
