The creation of artwork files is one of the most critical stages in preparing for printing. This is because several steps have to be taken in order to prepare your graphics or artwork files for printing purposes. A film has to be made in order to transfer the image onto a plate or cliché. Our experience with this is extensive and we will guide you through the process so that the appearance of your graphics will be clear and of the highest quality.

Most artwork files that are used in printing are created using a vector base program like Adobe Illustrator. We prefer this type of application because it ensures clarity and allows us to achieve higher quality printing. We do not prefer files that are created using pixels as they are often poor quality and the actual printing would look distorted. Our preferred file type is a PDF vector file, which is at the actual size (100%) to use in the printing process. The content should be solid black as this is what is required for the film processing stage. At times artwork files have to be recreated in order to achieve the clarity needed. We will assist you throughout this process as well so that we can find the solution and focus on getting to the next stage, which is transferring the image to a plate or cliché.
